I was looking at information about the Regiment Carignan and stumbled onto this web site. It is a collaborative effort by a lot of people. I haven't checked it out to much yet, but at first glance it fills in a lot of blanks. For the first time I found the name of the ships some of my filles de roi ancestors came over on. There is lists and mini bios on the some of the French regiments. The English portion of the site is not completed yet, but they are working on it
