Project: Peanut Butter

A presentation on the history of peanut butter and its two inventors Marcellus Gilmore Edson and John Harvey Kellogg.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

The Aztecs and Incas were the first to create a food similar to peanut butter. Their form of peanut butter was more like a paste.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

Every product that we have today was not created in just one day. It takes time to come up with an idea for a product, even for something as simple as peanut butter.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

Many of the inventions and technology in existence today that we consider normal, were not around during the 1800's. Because of this life was very different.
