Project: L'histoire Fascinante des Chips au Ketchup / The Fascinating History of Ketchup Chips

A lighthearted exploration of the fascinating and in some ways controversial history of ketchup chips.

What was the most interesting thing you learned about your topic?

That Ketchup Chips might in fact come from the United States and not from Canada.

What important lessons have you learned that you want to share with other Canadians?

I have learned that sometimes things are not as they seemed, and that though some things may come from somewhere different, what really makes the difference is the place they find and make a difference in.

How would you compare your life today to the lives of those studied in your project?

I would say they are quite different. Back then, the world was simpler, and you could easily start a company with a thousand dollars and a field of wheat. Plus, they didn't have movies! (A travesty, I know). In general, I as a woman have many more rights now than then. Other than that though, we're all people with big dreams, and I don't believe myself to be drastically different than them.
